What is CPR?
At this time, Pistoresi Ambulance is not teaching CPR or First Aid Classes. We may be able to direct you to a CPR and First Aid Class provider. Call us at 559-673-8004 if you are unable to find a class you are looking for.
We will update this when we are once again able to do CPR and First Aid Classes.
BLS for Healthcare Providers $60
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, oxygen), use of an AED, and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and out of the hospital. The Healthcare Provider textbook is included and can be mailed upon request for an additional $5. Those who register for this course within 1 week of the class, books will not be mailed but will be left at the front desk to be pick up at your convenience. Remember to check with your employer if required for employment before registering for class. Upon successful completion, students receive the American Heart Association CPR for Healthcare Provider card valid for 2 years. Don’t forget to ask about a large group discount.
Heartsaver® First Aid $50
The Heartsaver® First Aid Course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive. This course provides a complete training solution for first aid, and adult CPR and AED (automated external defibrillator). Course covers general principles of first aid, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, CPR and AED, and environmental emergencies. Optional modules include child CPR and AED, and infant CPR. Designed to teach lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for adult, child, and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) in adults and breathing difficulties in children. Recommended for Teachers, Babysitters, Trainers, Security Guards, & Trade worker personnel. Check with you employer if required for employment before registering for class. Upon successful completion students receive The Heartsaver® First Aid card valid for 2 years. Don’t forget to ask about a large group discount.
